Sure they may have made some slight component changes but the frames were all European designed and the manufacturing controlled from Europe. I am totally ok with a basic catalog frame. The people buying bikes because of marketing won't appreciate the difference. Dominion A4 brakes on all but the cheapest Jeffsy isn't something you do for marketing. Yes, they did a lot of marketing in the US primarily, but they've always had their own designs, focus, good performance, and had sensible spec choices. Yeah, I'm that weirdo who lets principle get in the way of a good time.
Genuinely this sucks, YT made good bikes at a reasonable price. Dear YT "family"If there's one thing that makes my piss boil it's the corporate appropriation of the word family.Kind regardsYour 15th cousin 8 times removed I am just jabbering above, in 35+ years of biking I have still never broken a frame even nowadays when I ride harder than I ever have so I'm not too worried about it. I almost bought one and I'm sure I would've loved it, seems like a pretty solid bike in it got really good reviews… I consider these bikes works of art, I love them, ride them all and just hope I don't damage them into oblivion b/c warranties just aren't a thing with any bikes I own now Still – your art prices / dead artist thing is pretty damn hilarous though…
I can’t say I feel bad for YT, karma sometimes comes back. So YT first used the Zink brothers to distribute their bikes in the US and then after the brothers got the brand established they were kicked to the curb. But the 'Marcus marketing shitshow' overshadowed the tasteful spec of the bikes for the general audience. How nice of them to take our money, then also sell us stuff and take more of our money. That's when it dawned on me that the new model Kohler and many other companies were following was to offshored production while significantly expanding product line and marketing budgets. It's practically still part of the same brand and organization for me. I don't see YT US not designing the bikes they sell as anything different from Specialized or Trek Europe not designing the bikes they sell.
Last time I checked an uncompromising DH bike had at least 180mm of travel and more like 200mm's… Comments like these genuinely don't help your business you know. YT Industries are marketing the bike with the controversial tag line, "it feels illegal" – will they ever learn This is YT at its best doing what no other company does with spec to price ratio. If you don't have enthusiastic customers, you might not be running the company well, and folks should buy the Atherton Sales tax alone would increase the price to 8k€ for the base model not considering any additional fees, final price would be between 9k€ and 10k€, if not more. Better components, but a less desirable brand.
😔 The brand succeeded in making high-quality bikes more accessible, especially for riders looking for performance and design without paying a premium price. At this rate Flossman will be back to selling catalogue frames out of his bedroom before long. Still too many meat-bikes in the pipe and the big-3 can afford to run a loss longer than smaller brands. There was a time when I was much younger that I could not afford to run out and buy a new frame, just didn't have the spare cash sitting around. I bought a decoy in January and I couldn't care less about the warranty, the discount I got outweighs the lack of one. Adam Miller at Revel took a different path and was in a good position to quickly restore the brand (and it's lifetime warranties) after the P.E. Who ever bought the auction lot in the uk of all the small parts probably will be selling them atsp. "We are the US sales and marketing arm for a single manufacturer who has gone out of business. Still trying to determine if and how this will effect us, but don't worry, we are fine."

For me Nukeproof is more interesting (If we are talking about back from ashes brands) I don´t trust this brand anymore. When you knowingly let PE or some bad actor take a financial stake in your business, that is bad for customers. The margins are too thin, and economies of scale in the big brands are too big. Usually results in a big shakeup – usually the manager/coaching staff getting sacked, but sometimes some of the abrasive star players can be cause.

10K miles on my Decoy, still letting good times roll. So many people i know end up getting Bike they paid for and money back from the Bank. Half the reason I read these comments was to see him argue with people it was hilarious. Guess where i went before i even read the article guys…straight to the comments baby. Unless it's a frame part, you can get everything else aftermarket. This Is so mid, their marketing campaigns, their image as a company Is so lame. I have a Capra and it’s been an amazing bikes

Preach, people need to know the truth. Everyone thinks private equity killed this brand. After insolvency there was a handshake deal for YT USA to purchase exclusive brand rights and be independently operated. Sometimes that means making less to pay far less taxes….again. You are correct – I don't know any specifics of your Powerfish Pokies circumstances, and thus it was wrong for me to comment. You clearly understand my finances and what is and isn't advantageous for me personally and professionally, better than I do. If I can make(save) more shuttering it than selling it, that's the obvious move. I was making an ancillary point about closing businesses in general!
Is always sad to hear this about a genuine bike brand, with its own designs and good manufacturing . Strip it for parts and slap them on a new frame, toss the capra frame in the garage attic and forget it exists. Guess it’ll be worth peanuts now when I go to sell it in a few years Gg had 0 to none market share, YT have much broader , gg frames build to last, yt frames are common to brake, bb area, cs, head-tube Warranty is a form of insurance that is baked into the price you pay. EVERYONE got mad but they also bought their bike as YT soldout every single model before closing.
